nationality and, consequently, a European passport in the 6th year.\u00a0<strong>The Golden Visa<\/strong>\u00a0allows free movement in the Schengen area and is a great opportunity for third-country nationals to buy\u00a0<strong>holiday homes<\/strong>, make\u00a0<strong>financial investments<\/strong>, establish their businesses in the EU or just move to a country known for the<strong>\u00a0excellent quality of life<\/strong>, beautiful beaches, great weather, and its magnificent history and culture.<\/p><p><b>Obtaining a Residence Permit in Portugal for Investment Activity (ARI):<\/b><\/p><p>The current legal provisions open the possibility for foreign investors to apply for a residence permit for investment activity, to whom they have regular entry into the national territory (holders of valid Schengen visas or visa-free beneficiaries), by means of capital transfers, job creation or real estate purchase.<\/p><p><b>Who can apply?<\/b><br \/>The legislation is revoked and the investor can choose one of the following investment activities to obtain a residence has been completed for at least 30 years or located in an urban rehabilitation area and rehabilitation of real estate acquired, totaling \u20ac 350,000.00 or more (three hundred and fifty thousand euros);<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-dot-circle\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Transfer of capital in an amount equal to or greater than 1 million euros;<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-dot-circle\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Creation of at least 10 jobs.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8dc9211 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8dc9211\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In addition to the above-mentioned changes, it is also envisaged to include investment in\u00a0<strong>capital risk<\/strong>, cultural\u00a0<strong>production activities<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>scientific research<\/strong>\u00a0and positive discrimination, by\u00a0<strong>reducing investment in low density and productivity territories by 20%<\/strong>.<\/p><p><b>Necessary documents:<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-df45ecc Authority and by the social security;<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span declaration, under an honor commitment, by which the applicant certifies that it will fulfill the requirements of the investment activity in the national
